The
YLI class of 2009-2010 begins in
August with an overnight retreat at Camp Hantesa near Ledges State Park. Students
will participate in leadership and team building activities. Throughout
the year, the class will participate in class sessions designed
to explore topics such as Community Engagement, Leadership Passions
and Vision, Arts and Communication, Diversity, Government, Economic
Impact, Education and Creative Problem Solving. For a complete

The YLI class of 2010 represents a cross-section of high school
students throughout the Greater Des Moines area. A formal selection
committee chose the class based on their leadership potential
and interest in learning more about the community.
