Current high school freshmen and sophomores should apply prior to their respective sophomore and junior years. Applications will be available on-line, at the United Way of Central Iowa, from current students or alumni, or through area high schools and youth organizations.

Class Selection will be completed and announced by June 1. Previous classes have included students from fourteen Des Moines Metro Area public and private high schools. The YLI Class of 09-10 includes over 30 students from nine Des Moines Metro Area schools. Please note that due to the generosity of the United Way and other community partners, participation in the YLI Program is offered TUITION FREE.

Application deadline for the Class of 2010-2011 was Friday, March 5, 2010.
